What a great Serve Day we had this past Sunday! To take our normal morning worship time and express our worship in a different way through serving and showing the love of Christ to our community was fulfilling. We had a great response from our people and special thanks to all who were a part of the day!
What was really gratifying was to hear from both people who we had conversations with in the community and guests who showed up for services only to be told that we weren’t having normal services, that all of our people were out serving Nashville! Both the “churched” and “unchurched” were very encouraged that The Fellowship would do something like this.
Again, as we look at who we are becoming as a church, we want people to see that impacting our community through service and the love of Christ is foundational to our very calling. Keep it up church! Remember, it doesn’t have to be an official Serve Day to share and show the love of Christ through serving others.
Rom. 10:13-15 …“WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!”
