This past Sunday at The Fellowship we continued our series Taking Responsibility for Your Life We talked about the fact that life isn’t fair and what that means for you and me? Watch it here!
In Matthew 25, Jesus shares the parable of the talents. In this life illustration, a master gives five bags of gold to one servant, two bags to another and only one bag to a third servant. The master had expectations for the resources he loaned those men. And, after a long while, he returned to hold them accountable for what they’d been given. He wanted to know what they had done with the money.
How does that apply to me? The point is that: we are stewards of what God has given to each of us. Our lives and our opportunities aren’t ours in the first place. They are on loan to each of us from God. And some day, He will ask us to give an account for what we were given. In the meantime, are we maximizing what has been given to us? Are we truly leveraging the resources He has loaned us for the Kingdom.
As you go through this week, think about it. What are you doing with the the talents, resources and abilities God has entrusted to you, for the glory of His Kingdom?
Join us this Sunday as we continue Am I Taking Responsibility for My Life…Really?. We’d love to see you there. Worship begins at 10:45 a.m. with LIFEgroups and Children’s activities beginning at 9:30 a.m.
