I’m excited to share something very special with you that we will be launching this week. We are starting a new opportunity for the Fellowship family to pray together and we’re calling it The Fellowship 200. The Fellowship 200 is a group of people that will be committed to praying for The Fellowship, its ministries, and its leaders on a regular basis. However, it is our desire is to see us move from 200 to 300, 400, and on.
200 is just a starting point.
I know what you might be thinking. Why would we ask 200 of our church family to commit to pray on a regular basis for our church? Well, first off, the Bible teaches us that prayer changes things. But more than that, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 commands us to “pray without ceasing.” When God was ready to do something great for His people, He called them to pray.
We see that in the amazing story of Esther (Esther 4:16) and when Nehemiah was called to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 1:5-11). If that’s not enough, one can find more than 500 examples of prayer and about 400 passages on prayer or teachings about it in the Scriptures.
So join 199 others today and be a part of something great! Then, we will expect great things together while lifting up our prayers and petitions to the Creator of the Universe.
Whether during morning quiet time, lunch hour, or workout session or maybe that afternoon drive, The 200 will make some time each day to lift up The Fellowship body and its ministries in prayer.
